I don’t share your fandom, but I can appreciate a pristine example of any classic car...especially when such a car is considered to be disposable.

Tercel thread?

Is this post supposed to contain a link/pic?

Sure. Although, one could argue that, doggo aside, since selling the Celica and acquiring the Tercel, Zoidberg’s posting history IS our Tercel thread. ^_^
EDIT: it appears my link was Kinja’d! I’ve finally been Kinja’d after years of commenting on various Kinja-based sites!

I would hold out for either:
1981 Corolla-Tercel SR5 liftback (crazy rare)
OR
1983 Tercel 3-door SR5 (stupid rare)
If you like working on your car every week, buy the wagon.

I’m positive smobgirl has lots of things she could share, but no one wants to step up and be as annoying as me.

Honestly I have been looking at getting a Tercel. I’ve been without my own car for over a year and Tercel type money is the only money I have. I am not a Toyota fan. I really only like the Sports 800, rwd Celicas, and the 1st and 2nd gen Supra.

That is truly amazing.

If you prefer RWD (like I do), you can do what I did, and buy a really old Lexus for Tercel money.
And then re-spend the same amount of Tercel money every time something breaks.
Don’t believe the lie about Toyota invincibility. -_-

I want something with a manual, so I’ll probably get an old econobox. My dad suggested a $2k Cadillac a couple times... I am pretty sure a $2k Caddy would be a nightmare.
